BOOK-KEEPERS AND MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANTS REQUIRED

Not words often associated with a book-keeping role - but The Number House is a little different!!

We are a Book-keeping and Management Accounting Service based in Edinburgh city centre and have a wide range of clients – from Architects to PR Companies, Solicitors to Bars and Restaurants.  We work in either the client’s office or our own office.  We offer tailor made financial reporting systems and over our 6 years of trading all our work has come from referrals.

Owner-managed, we are expanding rapidly and require more book-keepers and management accountants to join our team.  The work is exciting, varied and interesting. You will work on various clients’ books, sometimes in our office, sometimes in theirs, so no two weeks are ever the same.

Experience required in:

• Sales Ledger
• Credit Controlling
• Purchase Ledger
• Bank Reconciliation
• Credit Card Reconciliation
• Petty Cash Reconciliation

Experience preferred (but not essential, as there are several roles available):

• Payroll and Paye
• Vat Returns
• Journal Entry
• Maintenance of Nominal Ledger
• Preparation of Management Accounts

We envisage the candidates to have several years book-keeping experience and be proficient in the use of Excel and either Sage or QuickBooks.

We are looking for someone who can work to tight deadlines, demonstrate attention to detail, show good communication skills,  work within our team and be self-motivated.

Salary £15k - £18k depending on experience.

Holidays 30 days per year (including statutory holidays)
